Presley's Big Girl Room

I have gotten a lot of email and comment requests for Presley's room transitioned to a big girl room.

Here it is, with my humble photography skills, but hopefully you can get the idea.

We used what we had and made a great spot for my girl!  

We love this room!

There are always horses for my tiny.
Always.

I wish I had better pictures of this space, but we turned Presley's closet into an art closet.
I loved walking in and seeing Presley creating something and often talking with her dolls set up in high chairs and toddler chairs around her.
She is such a little artist!

We had a lot of her art on display, an ikea table with chairs, chalkboard, her craft jars, and lots of stickers, paper, and cards for writing letters.

KINFOLK Magazine :: Review & Giveaway! **CLOSED**

The kind people at KINFOLK sent me volume three of their magazine to do a review, and a giveaway to one of you lucky readers!

I was so excited to get my hands on this beautiful magazine.  It is made so well.  Heavy paper weight, stunning photography, and beautiful words reminding us of what is important, of what is so easily accessible to us all.  It is brilliant really.

The magazine, which could be considered more a book with it's fine quality, is a series of small stories, looks into the lives and thoughts of those around the world in their own small gatherings.  Broken up into chapters of gatherings for one, for two, for more.  And that is the truth of our lives really, each daily gathering is different in number, is of importance, and is beautiful.

As I curled up in bed for a couple of nights to read the pages and study the art, I appreciated the reminder to stop, and live in the slow, simple, and wonderful moments.  "Human connections" as Brittany Jepsen put it, are where it's at. 

 I have always believed that it is through the small and simple things that we can find magic.  It is how I have tried to live my life, and create life for my children.

I highly recommend each of you get a copy of this magazine, it is a great read, and inspiring.

June Wedding

My baby brother fell in love with a gorgeous North Carolina girl, with all the southern charm to boot! They recently got engaged.His bride to be is so incredible, we all are so excited to have her a part of our family.

She asked me to help style her California reception this June.

So we are busy at work getting everything ready for a beautiful outdoor reception.

I can't wait to share some of the ideas with all of you over the next couple months.

Easter Week

I am in shock that we are already in April!  Time is flying by.
