One Month

I can't stop thinking about this sweet photo of my boy Ford on his one month that I caught on my phone and thought I'd share.

This boy of mine 

snorts when he's hungry

stares deep into your eyes

loves to sleep day and night

is a dream boat

loves to eat, and is getting chubbier each day

has handsome eyes and a dimpled chin

and is seriously irresistible!

I'm in love, we're all in love at this house.

Baby Ford's Blessing

Last Sunday was a special day for our family.

We blessed baby Ford with every single member of his family there!  

It is very rare that we would have everyone in town, 

so we knew we had to take advantage of that and do his blessing a bit early.

After the blessing we all headed back to my parents for some great food and sweet treats!

It was the perfect day.

I loved looking around and being surrounded by our family.

My Dad gave Dan a bag of rolled up Ford shirts to pass out instead of cigars.

With all of us together on Sunday, it was the perfect opportunity to get this photo.

All the men in Ford's life.

(no, we did not name him after the car, just a play on words :)

I wanted to keep things fairly simple, since I was just a little over three weeks out.

I made labels for the food and dessert, printed up some photos of Ford, and used banners and straws from my baby shower.

It all turned out great, and most importantly the food was amazing!

I don't eat burgers myself,

but we found it appropriate to celebrate our baby boy with mini burgers.

The Davis' love a good burger so it was the perfect accent to all the salads.

DIY Craft Jars

Another one of the gifts I made for Christmas were these animal craft jars.

I saw an image floating around pinterest, and loved them!

Easy Directions:

I bought jars at Container Store

Found plastic animals at Michaels

And used spray paint I had.

First decide which animals are going on which jars based on size.

Then spray paint each animal/lid separately.

I used a combination of crazy glue and my hot glue gun on the feet of the animals.

Place on lids.

Let dry.

Fill jars with size appropriate craft supplies.

Presley was so excited about these jars and loves to "craft" now.

It has been a fun gift that the whole family has used with Presley!

Our weekend was very special, blessing this boy with every single member of our family, on both sides, in town.

(This hasn't happened since our wedding day.)

We are extending our holiday through the week with everyone in town.

But I'll still be here.

A Handmade Gift :: Fabric Dolls

 I always try and incorporate some handmade gifts at Christmas, but this year with Dan a full time student and a lot of family to celebrate with, I had to get creative!

I decided to make dolls out of left over fabric and felt I had in my supplies.

They turned out totally quirky, but I loved them and couldn't wait for two of my nieces and Presley to open their personalized dolls on Christmas morning.

 Presley's doll is on the right, with the white hair of course!

All tucked away in their boxes ready to be opened.

Hello!

And sorry for the break in blogging.

Time has slowed down with baby Ford here, and I've really enjoyed it.

I've been able to just simplify and be with my sweet family of four.

I'm still taking my time getting back into the swing of things, but I'm hoping to be back on the blog more regularly!

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season, and great start to the new year!
