A Birthday Play Date & Tin Can Cakes

A few weeks back Presley and I invited over my niece Jordyn for a birthday play date.
Jordyn had a special day with her parents for her birthday so we decided to have a little party of our own!
I had seen these tin can cakes on Oh Happy Day, and wanted to give them a try.
It was a lot of fun and the girls loved their mini cakes and being able to frost all the layers.
I think these would be darling for a party, and of course not as messy if you were making them yourself.

Looks like fun! I just had to leave a comment about your board in the background - I LOVE IT! I have been wanting to do something similar forever and ended up putting a small bulletin board in my office that I add things to - pictures, ticket stubs from shows or flights, etc. I'm just getting started on mine and have a long way to go. Yours is awesome! Is it just a regular bulletin board or did you use something more fancy? Do you have a method to how you add things to it or is it just whatever strikes you?

What a lovely idea for my daughters next birthday!

The girls look so cute and I guess they were really proud of their creations. And rightly so, the cakes look delicious...

Love your Blog! Greetings from Australia!
