Here are a few more from the photo shoot I mentioned earlier by the talented Ashlee Raubach.

I have shared a couple shots of my kitchen here, but I had to show you these beauties by a professional!

When we moved in we ripped out the existing granite splash and installed subway tiles up to the ceiling. The tile up to the ceiling adds a lot of drama, and with a tile that is usually the most affordable. I was really wanting our kitchen to stand out and make our condo feel more like a home.

** I have received a lot of questions about the granite, it was the existing granite when we moved in.  I installed the tile splash and the shelves.

We then installed the two shelves above the sink. I love having exposed shelves to be able to display and use our prettiest dishes! Most of them are dating back to our wedding gifts.

I found the chandelier at a consignment store, and fell in love! It was the perfect surprise to our white kitchen.

I have a thing for doors. All of the closet/pantry doors are painted in the house. I went with a soft blue to add some fun.

The runner is from West Elm.

The EAT zinc letters are help up by double sided tape from the hardware store, so we didn't have to drill into the tile. It was a great solution!

I wish it looked this clean every day! But really, I do love this space, it feels bright and clean and a great place to cook and bake for our little family of three.

UPDATE:

For birthday and Christmas (I get spoiled in December!) I got some new plates and bowls from family and friends. The plates I had been obsessing over and can be found here. The bowls are the same Anthropologie bowls in different colors.

I think I am just going to keep up the shop for another few weeks. I have lowered all the prices, so make sure to check it all out!

an old friend's wedding

Last week I was able to reconnect with an old friend that I hadn't seen since highschool through this here blog. I was so glad to see what she was up to and it was so fun to see that she is working in design and is seriously talented! She recently wed, and I was blown away by her beautiful, handmade, and innovative wedding.

I had to share! Brittany was featured on 100 Layer Cake. I wrote her back telling her that I am for sure bookmarking this wedding to use as inspiration for future events and parties!

Room Two

I have been spending a ton of time in room two this week with work.

(room two is our office/guest room)

I was lucky enough to have Ashlee Raubach come photograph my house a few months back through Alice Lane Home.

a new week

So glad it is a new week, we are in need of a new start around our place.

I am now able to work more and have been blessed with a few new exciting projects I'm working on. I love a good challenge, so this will be a lot of fun!

And I must say that a new issue of Lonny helped make this Monday that much better! It's the simple things in life, right?

Well, I am off to a bad blogging start in the new year! I hope to get back on top of it.

But I really have enjoyed these easy days with my family and friends.

There is nothing like the holidays to bring everyone together.

I have so many resolutions for this year, many new work related goals, so that is exciting to think of future possibilities!

And the obvious health goals. I have been off my typical health regimen for way too long and it is no secret! I have big plans for change, but so far I have only gotten back into my lemon water first thing in the morning routine... Baby steps?

Hope you all had an amazing New Years! I am so grateful for all of my friends old and new that visit this humble little blog. Thanks for your support!
