This weekend I gave myself a challenge to come up with some new Halloween decor using materials I already had.
I was really close! All I needed was some embroidery thread.
These are all very simple but have added so much to our little stash of Halloween decorations.
I made two of these pendant banners, and am tempted to make a few more, I love how they turned out.
This wreath probably needs a little more help, but I am happy enough with it.
I am thinking of adding some spider web or maybe once we have our pumpkins out it will help...
I like how all the rough and loose edges to the fabric add a creepy feel to the decor if you will.
That's about as far as I take it. I definitely like my Halloween to be more "cute" than "scary"!

thank you! i've always felt that Halloween was difficult for my decorate for because it is usually tacky... but this post makes me excited! i'll definitely tackle one project this weekend!

Love the garland, really minimalist but effective.
Couldn't go for the wreath though. Black wreaths are used here in Ireland to signify that a family member has died, they're put on the front door for the duration of the wake. So while appropriately spooky, I don't think I'll be making it!
