Recent Project - Wood Stained Art

I recenttly completed a custom wood stained art piece.
My client/friend wanted one for over her sofa, and I thought it would be fun to make it oversized and she was on board.
We chose their wedding lyrics, that I now love.
Such a beautiful song.
It may have taken forever ... but was well worth it!
I can't wait to show you all the finished product soon.
Enjoy these sneak peeks until then!

You are always making the most creative things. I think I may attempt to make one of these.

You always make it look so cute!

This looks great! Can you please please PLEASE PLEASE do a tutorial on how you painted those Chevron stripes? I want to paint some for my new apartment next week! You don't even need to have pictures of the step-by-step, just a quick list of instructions would be WONDERFUL! Thank you!!!

Oh how funny i am working on something exactly like this right now too....my boyfriend painted the canvas faux dark wood and i am writing in white paint a poem he wrote me a few years ago. Nice to see how you are fitting all the words so nicely....i am struggling in fitting all the lines in mine and seemed so cluttered, so its cool to see yours looking so lovely.

Please please please tell me when you will sell custom pieces? I would love one and you have awesome handwriting. Even if I DIY'ed this it wouldn't look nearly as good. Love it.

I just used your tutorial for the same wedding gift for my sister! Thank you so much. She loved it. It was a blast to do, too.

Thanks everyone for your kind words! The name of the song is I think "My Favourite Book".

And Anne, I just eyeball it, but you could take the time to measure it out and tape across the wood as a guide I think.
