halloween costumes

I had a scary realization today - I need to make Presley's costume in one week!
I have not even started, and this weekend is too busy, so I'm hoping I can pull it off by next weekend.
Time is flying by.

I could not get enough of Presley in her costume last year! So the pressure is on.
Here are some shots of our little chickie in '09.

I simplified the Martha Stewart chick costume.
Presley was a hit and it was easy to make!

Dan wanted to dress up as a rooster to coordinate with Presley.
I made him a rooster tail too.
I loved it!

Oh my goodness this is so cute. This is Lilly's first halloween and I'm super excited to get her all dressed up as a flamingo.

I don't know what's cuter, your daughter as a chicky, or your husband's show of solidarity in his costume! LOL Love it!

How Adorable!! So cute and creative.

If you run out of time, Pottery Barn Kids has some cute costumes. I got an Owl from there this year for my 2 year old daughter (kinda pricey though).

Good luck...

So so cute!! Just a thought, I made a swan costume for my daugther last year and it was based around a tutu that I had glued white feathers all over- you could re-use the body of the chicken costume and then make the neck thing (think bjork) to wrap around and then get a cute head band with white feathers. My daughter is going to be a bouquet of flowers this year- almost finished making it but on the hunt for kelly green tights- fun fun:) Good luck with your costuming- based on the adorable chicken, I'm sure Presley will be amazingly cute again this year!

I'm a first time reader/commenter. I had a girl come into my shop yesterday and we got chatting about blogs. She raved about your adorable blog so of course I had to check it out! : )I've officially read your ENTIRE blog and love everything! You have the sweetest family - and that costume is to die for. And what a good sport your hubby is! : ) Can't wait for your next post!

So cute. We don't really do Halloween here much but this year we are doing two little parties. Mine have worn the same cat costume (both of them!) and i'm not sure either of them fits it now. Will have to see what i can magic up! xx
