garden party

Presley's garden party was a hit!
It was so fun to gather around as family and celebrate baby girl.
We made this party low key, which was good,
we had just gotten back from a ten day vacation the day before.
Presley could not have felt more special.
Which was exactly what I hoped for.

Presley welcoming the guests.
I decorated our door with a fabric flower garland.
This was super easy!! I can post a DIY soon...

The spread
BBQ chicken, pasta salad, summer strawberry salad, rosemary olive bread, fruit and Gigi's homemade limeaid!
(you want me to post the recipe -- this was the biggest hit of the night!)
Simple and summery.

Last minute I added the papercut I did for a school project of Presley running through our community garden path.

Each girl was greeted with a flower headband to wear.
I was so nervous that none of the girls would wear one because I tried to get Presley to wear hers the two days leading up to the party and she refused!
Luckily the older girls started a trend and by the end of the night she wanted one.

Presley was pretending to pout, or just figuring out how she was going to handle all the attention.
I still don't know which.

Livi at the craft table.

Our garden craft:
decorating your own pots and planting your own succulents
(our favorite garden plant!)

Two of my gorgeous nieces, one from each side.

I couldn't get over everyone in their headbands!
That was my favorite detail.

Presley's Cake
I am signing up for a cake baking and decorating class ...
The top layer started to split while I was frosting.
It just adds to the garden theme right??

my birthday girl

Vanilla cake with strawberry frosting
This has turned into "Presley's Cake"
I first made it at her blessing party on tiny cupcakes when she was three months old,
and it has been a hit ever since.
It was also the first taste of sugar she had on her first birthday.
No wonder it's her favorite!

Everyone wanting to help Pres open her gifts.
She got spoiled by all of her favorite people!
It was such a fun night.
Oh, and maybe I got spoiled too!
Candice, Michael, and Robb remembered this post.
holla if you can hear me.

Godmother, Mommy, Aunti
No one knows ... but atleast we like to have fun?
