I am a long time fan of chevron stripes, which you can find everywhere now! I really wanted to paint the back wall of our Room 2 but could never get the time to dedicate measuring and taping a 13 foot wall ... So I resorted to a painting. I am always looking for a bargain, so instead of buying a canvas that large, I just got a cheap piece of wood cut at Home Depot. This made the task so much easier to be able to paint on the floor and I love the little spots of grain you can see through the paint. I also just used some paint out of the many paint cans I already had in my garage. I was in desperate need of something to spruce up our Living Room, and I was able to do it for $8.00! (price of wood) I still haven't finished accessorizing the mantel, but thought I would still share!
Also, these gorgeous flowers in front, (not the dying ones ... whoops!) were picked from my mom's garden. They are so beautiful, I am obsessed! I went out a bought myself a Camelia shrub already. It was only about 5 bucks for a shrub, and should grow to be 6 - 8 feet.

I love this. I have had a chevron stripe pillow for a few years and have wanted to incorporate some more chevron! I love it, it's everywhere now. I'm so copying this. Don't be mad.
I just picked some beautiful camellia blooms from my grandmother's yard. She passed away 2 years ago, and they always remind me of her. Her shrub grew to be ten feet!
This looks AMAZING! You did such a great job! I love that you used a large piece of wood instead of an expensive canvas ~ very resourceful!

Found your awesome blog via made by girl. I have a big canvas I bought just because it was drastically cheap and I have had it blankly staring at me for ages. Now I know what I'm going to do on it - thanks! I love the white and grey too, mine is probably going to go in my craft studio so calls for pink!
Oh Those Camellias,, i would loooove to plant one by my house yet my planting zone says otherwise :(
Enjoy!!
Everything looks so beautiful :)

Excellent information and facts. Only real difficulty I was basically receiving was viewing the pics. No idea exactly why.
